A propos de moi

I was born in 1969, I come from a family of artists and craftsmen including a great painter, Prospère Lafaye in the 18th century who was under the orders of Monsieur Le Brun, then master of classicism at the court of Versailles. I was trained by excellent artists and craftsmen including my father, and have worked for 30 years in many fields related to painting, my range of knowledge makes me a fairly complete artist/craftsman. For more than 10 years I have been teaching classical painting in private lessons as well as in small groups, the lessons taught are essentially focused on the practice and technique of oil painting. We learn patience and dexterity while respecting traditional techniques and in a relaxed atmosphere. On the sidelines, I continue to paint for myself, create murals, rector paintings and make commissioned portraits.
